1) Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Datafox (“Datafox”, “we”) collects and processes information when you use our websites and mobile applications (“Services”) on iOS and Android. App-specific notices (e.g., special permissions) may supplement this policy.
2) Information we may collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Contact details (e.g., name, email) when you contact us or submit forms.
- Content you choose to enter in the app (e.g., notes, preferences, game answers), depending on the app.
- Some apps, including Life Moments, may allow users to create and store personal content such as memories, titles, descriptions, dates, places, and photos. This content is processed only to provide the app’s features.
2.2 Technical and usage data
- Device identifiers and diagnostics (e.g., device type, OS version, crash events).
- Interaction data (e.g., screens viewed, in-app actions) to improve stability and user experience.
2.3 Optional data based on permissions
Some features require system permissions (e.g., camera, photos, notifications, health/HealthKit, location). If an app requests permissions, you will see the system prompt and can allow or deny.
3) How we use information
- Operate the Services and provide requested features.
- Improve performance, UX, stability, and security.
- Support and communications related to the Service.
- Legal compliance and preventing fraud/abuse.
4) Sharing of information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information only in these cases:
- Service providers: hosting, analytics, messaging, forms—under agreements and for operational purposes.
- Legal: if required by law, court order, or competent authority.
- Protection: to protect rights, safety, and integrity of users and the Service.
5) Third-party services
Depending on the app, we may use third-party services (e.g., Firebase/Google, Apple frameworks, Formspree for forms, crash reporting or analytics). These providers may process technical/usage data to operate their services.
6) Ads, tracking, and consent
If an app uses advertising or tracking, the relevant notices will be shown (e.g., iOS App Tracking Transparency) and consent options will be provided where applicable. If an app does not track, the permission will not be requested.
Advertising and analytics. Some of our apps, including Kairos, display advertising provided by Google AdMob. When ads are shown, Google may collect your device's advertising identifier, approximate (coarse) location derived from your IP address, information about your interaction with the ads, and diagnostic data, in order to serve and measure advertising. On iOS, personalized advertising only occurs if you allow it through the system's App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, you will still see non-personalized ads. If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you will be shown a consent form before any ads are served, and you can change your choice at any time. In apps that offer it, a one-time purchase removes all advertising and the related data collection.
7) Security
We implement reasonable safeguards (access controls, secure practices, encryption where applicable). No method is 100% secure; we work to reduce risk.
8) Data retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described, legal obligations, or dispute resolution. Retention periods may vary by data type and app.
9) Children
Our Services are not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can delete it.
10) Your rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable legal obligations.
11) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will publish changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
